The information in this book will give you a much better understanding of and appreciation for these birds. - Pre-ordered this book, and have been delighted with it so far! My only quibbles are a bit of loose binding and a lack of maps. I know I can find range maps in other places, but I LOVE having maps with the text in this type of book. Even without maps, and having only made it through the first ~65 pages so far, this book is easily my number one sparrow reference, easily surpassing Rising.
- This field guide can help any birder when it comes to the identification of North American Sparrows. It gives all the information anyone would need to know for each species. Whether a seasoned Ornithologist or just getting your feet wet, this is a book that should be on everyone's bookshelf.
